The buzz surrounding the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has reached fever pitch following recent leaks. Trusted tipster Ishan Agarwal recently posted images on social platform Threads showing what could be Samsung’s next top-tier foldable. The sneak peek reveals the Galaxy Z Fold 5, looking resplendent with an impressive colourful S Pen nestled in a smart case cutout.
Samsung’s new model brings with it improvements over its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The fresh design appears to be more compact, offering a seamless blend of form and function.
The Promise of a Bigger Outer Display
According to Agarwal’s leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is set to offer a significantly larger outer display compared to its predecessor. Last year’s model, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, featured a 1.9-inch panel. However, the upcoming model boasts a 3.4-inch cover screen, promising an improved user experience and interface.
Samsung’s Commitment to Innovation
Samsung’s President and Head of MX Business, TM Roh, hinted at the release of new foldable smartphones at the forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in a cryptic post on the company’s website.
Roh wrote, “We’ve raised the standards for foldable smartphone ergonomics. A difference of [a] millimetre in a device’s thickness may not sound like a big change, but every gram and millimetre in a foldable device requires an engineering breakthrough.”
The post suggests that the new foldables, including the eagerly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 5, will be “slimmer and lighter” than their predecessors. This aligns with Samsung’s mission to deliver devices that combine groundbreaking technology with practical usability.

The Galaxy Unpacked Event
