Chandigarh declares July 29 as public holiday on account of Muharram

The Chandigarh administration has made an official announcement declaring July 29, 2023 (Saturday) as a public holiday in observance of Muharram. This decision supersedes the previously declared restricted holiday. As a result, all government offices, boards, corporations, and institutions, including industrial establishments under the Chandigarh Administration, will remain closed on this day to commemorate the occasion of Muharram.
